Good humour and high spirits – irrepressible and infectious – were two of the four qualities that made up Sam’s personality. The others were kindness and friendliness.
To feel down inside, yet be bubbly around others is a testament to the strength of Sam’ character. Just because he felt bad, didn’t mean he wanted others to feel the same. Utterly selfless.
No one who has met Sam can ever forget THAT laugh. It defied the laws of physics, it was just so loud, and the pitch range was ridiculous. Sam had a deep voice,yet his laugh went as high as top G.
Some people come into our lives, yet are taken away too quickly. But whilst they are here, they leave footprints on our heart, and we are never, ever the same. This is so very much the case for what Sam did for us.
Sam, I can’t actually put down into words who much you will be missed. Not only by me but by everyone who has ever known you. You had such a big effect on everyone that you knew. I love you and always will.
Sam was such fun to be around.
You might have been a talented rugby player, and a really great guy who gave me so many laughs… but the thing I will always remember you for is your singing…
You are one of a kind, and in your own special way you made this world a better place, just by flashing that big goofy smile of yours.
